We are growing FAST! Our HR software and service demand is booming and we have a really exciting, brand new role for a QA Analyst to join our ever expanding Dev team here at FEPS.

This role can be worked on a remote basis. The team often meet once a week at our great offices with fab people based at Calder Grove, Wakefield (but it’s not a necessity if you’re further afield)

So, what’s the role?

We’re looking for a QA Analyst/software tester to join our busy Dev team. You’ll be a key player in our Quality Assurance process, conducting thorough tests to ensure our software performance is spot on.

Some of the main responsibilities of a Software Tester will be:

  • Completing manual test execution and deliver test documentation within agreed timescales.
  • Raising bugs/defects using Azure DevOps.
  • Participating in Agile sprint ceremonies such as Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Planning and Sprint Review.
  • Awareness of all products provided by Fusion Education Business Solutions and where necessary acquire an in-depth knowledge of specific products (don’t worry – we’ll train you on that!)
  • Recommending and implementing improvements.

What makes you the ideal candidate for us?

Skills and knowledge which are really important to us are:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in software testing as minimum.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, and the test plans area in particular.
  • SQL knowledge.
  • Bug triage.
  • Proven experience of working within an Agile environment.
  • Proven commercial experience working on customer facing SaaS systems.
  • Delivery of quality software products with great attention to detail.
  • Organisation and working well under pressure.
  • Working to timescales.
  • The ability to provide support and encouragement to others.
  • The ability to manage yourself and align with team goals.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification in Software Testing.

We feel really lucky to work here; we’re part of a super supportive team with a great working environment and can offer flexible hours and options to fit around any family commitments you might have. Because of this, we have a very happy and long-standing team who are genuinely passionate about the job they do.
