The Role

Are you passionate about driving sales? Do you love working in a team that is all about fostering great, meaningful business relationships? Are hitting targets ‘your thing’? If so, we’ve got just the role for you!

‘Fusing HR Services and software’ – we are Fusion Education People Solutions

We are education people specialists that provide impactful products & services to help schools and Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) manage their people and deliver the best outcomes for children.

We are growing FAST! Our HR software and service is booming and we have a really exciting, brand new role for a Sales Development Representative to join our ever growing team here at FEPS.

This is a hybrid role; we have a great office with fab people based at Calder Grove, Wakefield (WF4).

So, what’s the role?

We’re looking for a sales expert who will focus on generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting and qualifying potential customers in schools and MATs across the country.

Working with our great sales team, you will develop effective strategies for generating leads and achieving quarterly and annual targets.

You don’t need to worry about closing the deal – you can leave that to our fabulous Business Development Execs – but you’ll understand the importance of building and maintaining great relationships with key decision makers across schools and MATs.

Some of the main responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative will be:

  • Identifying potential customers, reaching out to them and generating new business opportunities for FEPS
  • Setting up appointments for product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our products to potential customers
  • Following up on leads
  • Working collaboratively with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets (we meet regularly and there’s always food involved!)
  • Using CRM software to manage leads and sales activities – we use Salesforce
  • Staying up to date on market trends, competition and industry developments
  • Attending network events and trade shows to build those all important relationships
  • Providing regular reports on sales activities to the Sales & Marketing Director

What makes you the ideal candidate for us?

We feel really lucky to work here; we’re part of a super supportive team with a great working environment and can offer flexible hours and options to fit around any family commitments you might have. Because of this, we have a very happy and long standing team who are genuinely passionate about the job they do.

We’ll be looking for a not only a really enthusiastic team player, but someone who is self-motivated to drive those leads and loves a results-driven approach to work.

Other skills which are really important to us are:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (you’ll love a good chat!)
  • Proven experience in sales development or a similar role. Within the Education arena is a winner, but not a dealbreaker
  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to understand customer needs and be able to articulate our product benefits (you’ll get full training on our amazing products and you’ll love them so you’ll find it easy to talk about!)
  • Good time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Tip top negotiation skills

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to progress their career with a company that provides excellent training and promotes from within.

What's in it for you?

  • Base salary of £28,000 with OTE of £40,000+ (uncapped – go for it!)
  • 24 days annual leave (plus 8 days Bank Hols)
  • Your birthday off
  • BUPA Healthcare Cashback plan – following successful completion of probation
  • Pension Scheme
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities – we can offer supported study and potential funding for external qualifications

If this sounds right up your street, and you want to be a part of a team who wants to shape the future of education through innovative solutions (and have loads of fun along the way) then we can’t wait to hear from you!
